Last weekend I helped my friend Kym and her family move to Spokane. It was really fun but a little sad, too! I stayed the night on Friday the 3rd and got to experience Kym’s favorite dish – her mom’s curry. It was a combination of red and green curry and it was completely divine! Normally, red curry is my favorite and green is my mom’s – I think we could both be happy with this one. =)
Aside from the blankets and pillows, her room was so bare. It was pretty surreal to think I had been there just a few weeks ago and everything was up. We got up early on Saturday morning, and started to head out in our caravan (which consisted of Kym’s car, her brother’s car and the U-Haul) at 6:00 am. The drive was absolutely beautiful and scenic. I was so excited when we got to her apartment – so excited that I just started taking pictures of the whole place! I didn’t get a chance to take the “after” pictures, but there’s always a later day for that. We moved all her stuff in – I got to be one of her employees that weekend. =)
On Sunday the 5th I drove back with Kym’s family and came home before 5:00 PM. I am so proud of my friend – she has come so far and is going to be so successful!! I wish her the best of luck and opportunities her way. =)
